Total Hip Replacement

Patient requirements include:

• GP referral
• Weight Bearing X-Rays AP/lateral/ – centered on the joint line (no older than 3 months)
• List of current medications
• History of past surgeries (in particular Dental procedure past & planned) & medical conditions
• Details of treating Cardiologist

Post operation appointment protocol:

• 1 Week, removal of clips/sutures & general check up
• 2 Weeks, doppler ultrasound calf on the operated side
• 6 Weeks follow up X-ray

Hip Resurfacing

Patient requirements include:

• GP referral
• Weight Bearing X-Rays AP/lateral/ – centered on the joint line (no older than 3 months)
